Refrigerant R407C is a hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) blend, composed of 23% R32, 25% R125, and 52% R134a. It was designed as a replacement for R22, offering a similar thermodynamic performance without the harmful ozone-depleting properties. Advantages of R407C:

  1. Ozone Layer Safe: R407C does not contribute to ozone depletion, making it a more environmentally friendly choice compared to older refrigerants like R22, which has an ozone-depleting potential (ODP).
